A New Robin

Friendly Fairy Tales

Robin Egg Shell

Two weeks of warm, squashy, beating-heart silence,
trapped in an ever-shrinking space, unable to stand or stretch,
until finally I figure out what that egg tooth is for,
peck-peck-pecking until CRACK, the light pours in,
the blue sky winks through veiling green leaves,

Ballet of Poetry

With a pirouette of personification
She ignited her carousel of fantasy
As slow enchanting adagio verses
Freed me from my loveless tragédie

Under my spotlight ballon rhymes
Made my heart skip a graceful beat
With her assemblé rhymes floating
She slowly swept me off of my feet

Who could resist such choreography
For her entrée had me from the start
When my prima ballerina performed
A ballet of poetry in my aching heart

Ellen Hanna..an amazing story…

Try to get it!

Ellen Hanna is 84 years old…

She spent more than 50 years old in reading books and recording them with her voice to help blind people…

Maniac, crazy is the name given to him by a town,

This man with a long beard of gray, coat, and cane.

His house is said to be haunted, dark all around,

Weathered with cobwebs, many creeks, the only sound.

Just a lonely, old man whom at times may cry in the night,

Bitter from a loss, on his own hiding in his home.

Misunderstood, judged as he looks, his own heart and fears,

Just a lonely, old man with a lifetime within himself.
