After I left the power plant and went to work for Dell on August 20, 2001, I wrote letters back to my friends at the plant letting them know how things were going. Good morning Fellow Soonerites,
Ok. So I’m not a Soonerite anymore. At least I used to be. Which is more (or less) than others can claim. Anyway. This morning when I walked into my cubicle, I found two pieces of paper sitting on my chair. They looked like some kind of advertisement for Dell. Like a brochure or something.
Upon closer look, one of the pieces of paper had a bunch of dotted lines and letters of the alphabet all over it. On one…

#cashless, #bartering, #survival
After the collapse of an issuing government of some fiat money, or even after a government’s sudden demonetization or confiscation of its own fiat money the population is left with only bartering for their own survival.
1. Choice of universal exchange medium
As the existing fiat cash has no authority to accept it as a tax payment (such as right after that government is toppled by an occupation force or by a revolution), it may become just a worthless piece of money (see references ,,,).
People can do direct bartering of their locally produced goods and needed items or they can do better with indirect (double) bartering using an intermediary bartering medium. For examples on bartering medium, they can use five lemons or five oranges or two chicken eggs rather than one dollar, a spark plug to rather than 2 dollars etc…Bartering items…

It is so true that in the times that we are living now the job of a police officer is very challenging. In spite of the difficulties and a world of darkness around them the police officers continue to protect and serve us in the best possible way. When they are confronted with big challenges they find out their real worthiness, and their aspirations. They dream big, desire the best and their souls believe in their dreams and aspirations. A peaceful society, well protected and taken care of is the true reflection of their dreams and desires. These are our guardian angels and they have wings to fly high and to protect us at the same time. God bless them and keep every police officer safe for us and their loved ones. Samina

It was this time of year, February, when we took a month (not nearly long enough) to visit the amazing country India. This is a 12″x 16″ oil on canvas painting of a Pashtun man, probably a war lord, the way he sits in authority. I met my Pashtun in India. He was dressed in his traditional, colourful garb. This tall, powerful and handsome looking man with a twinkle in his eye, declared with pride “I am a Pashtun”.
Fabulous post my lady and superbly well presented Ian 🌹
