Synesthesia: When Tuesday Is The Color Red – Neuroscience News
// First Night Design

I have Synesthesia, as I believe I have mentioned before. It is not very pronounced and is more or less restricted to days of the week which I see in colour and shape. My Tuesday, for instance, is a half-moon shape with see-through curves in a watery blue-grey.

When I told my doctor that the sight of a starfish tastes like copper she sat across from me in silence, waiting for the punchline.

My love is a song bird.
She fills the breeze with
Sweet symphonies
That fall into my open heart
Like drops of dew on an
Early morning when she
And I share a yellow sun
And a love as deep as
Lake Victoria.

Come, let us all be friends for once
Let us make life easy on us,
Let us be lovers and loved ones,
The earth shall be left to no one.

Gelin tanış olalım,
İşin kolayın tutalım,
Sevelim sevilelim,
Dünya kimseye kalmaz.

Lonely Author Anniversary (The One)

The One

One year ago this Chimp
was snared in the WordPress Matrix
to write and inspire
but one year later
his insanity has just begun

No I cannot fly
My name is not Neo
But on this special day
Lonely Author celebrates
The One

One year ago my daughter Catherine grabbed my laptop, set up my WordPress blog, and instructed me to make people laugh. She wanted me to inspire others; the same way “I always inspired her.”

I had no idea I would meet so many wonderful people who have inspired me in so many ways. You made me laugh, cry, and taught me how to be a better writer. For that, I will be eternally grateful.

Thank you for your patience with my snail like responses to your comments. I am resting my eyes as much as I can, thus my blogging time has been drastically reduced.

Finally, from the bottom of my heart and the heart of my bottom, I thank all of you for your kindness and wonderful support.

Be well.

Pantomime

She loved him in loud silence
her heart cried out in quiet agony
every day that she went unnoticed
led to barren nights lost in chastity

She loved him from a distance
thought she worked by his side
they would be so perfect together
her insecurities dared not confide

She vowed to love him for eternity
her life lacked rhythm or rhyme
she would adore him in loud silence
With a heartfelt pantomime

This a reblog for anyone who may have missed it the first time and for my newer blogging friends. Still struggling with the vision. I have tried to keep up with the reading posts. WordPress still does not allow me to comment on blogs. Miss the conversations. I will reply on my blog today, if WordPress allows.

Wishing all my friends the best. Be happy. Be well.

the power of words by house of ❤️

the power of words
// House of Heart❤️

Our throats are full,

inflamed arteries extending

to wrists of capillaries bursting

through like impacted teeth.

We are knotted with words.

Stand still,

melt inside my marrow,

seep into my narrow bones

lest they spill over to gnaw

you like orange rind,

biting through skin that

holds the key to open wounds

and severed pith.
