FEATURED: House & Fire News: ‘ If I am quiet ‘

I can watch the butterflies

sail slowly over dark leaves.

Conspicuous stained glass

of red, orange, and azure,

lined with ivory and sable veins.

They hover lightly from flower to flower,

compound eyes  below fluttering

feelers and faces smeared flaxen

too fine for the eye to see.

Death is not a concept,

the  onus is life on the wing.

In a mystical journey they

fear no danger.

If I am silent I can watch.
